It was a neck-to-neck battle between Miss India and Miss Estonia. Garnering 19 points, Shamita edged out Evelyn by 1 point and grabbed the first ever Miss Earth-Mabuhay ( Miss Internet ) award.
She garnered 6 out of 9 first places from Mabuhay's correspondents. Meanwhile, Evelyn Mikomagi topped the worldwide internet poll by receiving a total of 421 votes. She was the runaway winner of the 4-day poll and consistently maintaining the lead throughout the voting period.
The following ladies made the top five over-all : Miss Philippines, Miss USA, Miss Argentina, Miss Denmark and Miss Ethiopia.
